We work to support school and district leaders with the tools they need to be the transformational change agents that they desire to become for their school or district.
Change Management
We are experts in change management. We have spent decades in school systems across the county, learning about systems that work and those that don’t. At Axis Education Group, we help school districts understand the science behind the change in order to embrace a process that will lead to positive, lasting improvements for students and staff.
Closing the Achievement and Opportunity Gap
We work with our partners to think about the systemic issues that have caused the perpetual opportunity gap to exist. We question policies and practices that continue to fail Black, Brown, Indigenous, and students of poverty. We partner with boards, district leaders, and communities to thoughtfully remove those policies and practices from school systems and replace them with effective, researched approaches that improve the outcomes for all students.
Strategic Planning
A great strategic plan strikes a careful balance between bold ambition and practical implementation, with ambition leading the way. Strategic Planning offers a systematic process to ask and answer the most critical question confronting education — how best to educate each student. The school districts that produce great results for each student take a rigorous, thoughtful approach to strategic planning. We involve teachers, staff, the board, parents, community members, and, most importantly, students in the development of a comprehensive plan.
Transition Planning
New leadership at the district or school level must be treated with great care, as the first few months on the job set the tone for years to come. Joining a new organization or starting a new leadership position takes thoughtful planning to ensure that it is done well. We work with leaders to ensure that they lead with their voice, their actions, and their insights while developing an inclusive plan that fosters the voice of all stakeholders.
